After retirement, Artist Michelle Poor started creating a large body of artwork of flowers and other items found in nature with paint, pastels, watercolor, and a variety of other mediums. Similarly, Elizabeth Murphy also began to pursue art more seriously in her retirement. She creates intricate and detailed sculptures from "trash" or single use items that would otherwise be thrown away. She does this in hopes of raising awareness of pollution and climate change.
