The Early Spring Garden: Seeds, Compost, and Seedlings

Participants will learn about the seeds we use at the farm and can plant some in starter trays to take home. We will also sift some compost from the farm while learning about the importance of nourishing the soil for flourishing crops and healthy produce. People can take some sifted soil home along with seedlings for early crops like lettuce, kale, sugar snap peas, and radishes. Presented by Wendy Prentiss (she/her), Education Director, Friends of Holly Hill Farm This is part of our Earth Day conservation event series in April at NPL. This event is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Norwell Public Library and the Southeastern Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club.
